Seattle Men's Chorus

Founded in 1979, Seattle Men's Chorus is one of the world's most prominent TTBB choruses and an international leader of the LGBTQ choral movement. Rooted in Seattle’s gay community, SMC has been a bold and powerful force for social justice while redefining choral performance with stellar singing and unforgettable showmanship. Multiple PBS broadcasts and performances with Seattle Symphony join a catalog of a dozen recordings. Its annual holiday performances are a leading seasonal attraction in Seattle.

At home in Seattle’s Benaroya Hall and McCaw Hall, SMC has sung at prestigious venues throughout the U.S. including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Boston Symphony Hall as well as on tour across Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The Chorus has commissioned new works from leading composers including John Corigliano (Grammy Award, 1997), Gian Carlo Menotti, Ned Rorem, and David Diamond. Memorable performances with stars of stage and screen include Debbie Reynolds, Harvey Fierstein, Megan Mullally, Rosemary Clooney, Kristin Chenoweth, Megan Hilty, and Tituss Burgess.
