As we have done holiday season after holiday season, we are proud to again support Chicken Soup Brigade, the food and meals program of Lifelong! Each year, Seattle Men's Chorus welcomes thousands of patrons through the doors of Benaroya Hall, many of whom generously mark the season of giving with donations of non-perishable food items to support people living with a broad spectrum of illnesses including HIV/AIDS.
Chicken Soup Brigade (CSB) believes that food is medicine and strives to provide their clients with the best nutrition possible. All of the people served are living with chronic illnesses and rely on CSB to offer the best options for their health.
The following is a list of most-needed food items that can help clients in their fight for better health.
- Olive oil or canola oil
- Canned tuna, salmon, chicken (in water)
- Low sodium canned soup or broth
- Whole wheat pastas
- Peanut butter with no added sugar or hydrogenated fat
- Canned fruit in 100% juice
If you are attending a performance of Jingle All the Way at Benaroya Hall this month, please consider bringing a donation to drop off before enjoying the concert!
