Seattle Men's Chorus takes the stage at McCaw Hall later this month to bring you the biggest and most memorable hits from the Goddess of Pop, Cher. Along with our special guest, RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars' season one winner, Chad Michaels, some longtime and brand new members of SMC will step off the risers and up to the mic. Let's meet some of them.

Chris Hoffman, "If I Could Turn Back Time"

This concert is Cher-themed. If you could pick the theme of an SMC concert, what would it be?
Well, Cher honestly would have been one of my top choices, but being real with myself, I think it'd be 90s Bubble Gum Pop.

What’s your earliest memory of Cher?
This is cheating, and certainly not my earliest memory, but have you seen the video of her playing every part in West Side Story? Omg. Only Cher.

Why did you join SMC?
I absolutely love to sing, but I also joined as soon as I moved to Seattle so that I can make lots of musically and theatrically inclined friends, and be a part of a really supportive and fun community.

Carter Kight, "Gypsys, Tramps, & Thieves"

Do you prefer singer-Cher, actress-Cher, or Twitter-Cher?
Twitter-Cher is a national treasure. It's a shame that the Library of Congress no longer saves every Tweet, because her thoughts need to be preserved for future generations.

What’s your favorite thing about rehearsing for this concert?
Hearing everyone's really terrible Cher impressions!

Why did you join SMC?
I first saw an SMC concert as a little kid and fell in love! I knew I wanted to be part of this wonderful organization when I grew up.

Joel Kimmel-Staebler, "Walking in Memphis"

This concert is Cher-themed. If you could pick the theme of an SMC concert, what would it be?
Mad Men, featuring 50s and early 60s tunes and burlesque, and guest-starring BenDeLaCreme.

Do you prefer singer-Cher, actor-Cher, or Twitter-Cher?
I LOVE singer-Cher. It's fascinating to look at the ways in which she's changed as an artist, adapting to new trends and influences while staying massively influential herself.

What’s your favorite thing about rehearsing for this concert?
I particularly enjoy channeling my inner Cher when we rehearse; no one performs with the sheer joy that Cher always possesses when she's on stage.

Mickey Toogood, "Strong Enough"

This concert is Cher-themed. If you could pick the theme of an SMC concert, what would it be?
Let's do an 80s-themed concert! Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Wham!, Tears for Fears -- let's do it!

Do you prefer singer-Cher, actor-Cher, or Twitter-Cher?
I love singer-Cher, but it's gotta be actor-Cher. MoostruckMoostruck, Moostruck. Anyone who can win an Oscar while acting opposite Nicolas Cage is an icon!

What’s your favorite thing about rehearsing for this concert?
This is my first show with SMC, so my favorite thing is really just meeting all the amazing members of the chorus. Everyone has been so welcoming, so generous, so supportive -- it's been a life-changing experience for me.

Roman Wadsworth-Stansbury, "The Shoop Shoop Song"

This concert is Cher-themed. If you could pick the theme of an SMC concert, what would it be?
Everyone who knows me knows I would love a Mariah Carey and George Micheal themed show! Maybe separately though. Lol

What’s your earliest memory of Cher?
The movie Silkwood. Then I really fell in love with her in Mask; she so should have won the Oscar for that!

What’s your favorite thing about rehearsing for this concert?
Seeing my husband Vince's face light up by just being here as part of this amazing chorus.
