Members of the LGBT community are fully welcome at Seattle First Baptist, and have been for decades. A support group for gay men was first formed by a pastor in the 1960s. A lesbian couple was married there in the 1980s. When Washington State allowed same-sex couples to marry in 2012, they hosted a ceremony for 25 couples from the community. Today all individuals are welcome to fully participate, with leadership and active membership including individuals who serve fully and faithfully regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
There is a pay lot adjacent to the church, with entrances on Seneca St. and Boylston Ave.
Metered street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.
